COMIC STRIP TEASED • ONE SCRIPT • MULTIPLE VISIONS
Panel 1: Text box: “Oct. 21, 1940 - 12 miles northwest of Dover.” We are in the middle of the Battle of Britain during WWII. In the foreground, we see a crashed German fighter plane in a field. This is likely a worm’s-eye view of the crash, with smoke billowing out of the wreckage. Up above, we can see what’s left of a British squadron flying overhead.
Panel 2: Cut to a shot of an Allied radio operator sitting in a control room back at the base. He’s sending a message to the pilots in the air. “Sorry, but there’s no time to refuel. At least 30 more Luftwaffes just got past us, and are headed your way!”
Panel 3: Here we see a heroic shot of a RAF Spitfire plane flying in the sky. The pilot can be seen through the window as he is replying to the radio operator, and his fellow pilots. “Boys, looks like this may have been a one-way trip... Form up!”
